Is there a standard warranty form that should be used?

California

We a small painting subcontractor company based in San Diego, California and the owner of a building is asking that we send him a closeout package including a warranty. Do you know if there is a general warranty document that we should send? Do you think we should just draft something? Thank you in advance!

A simple warranty would be something like: "Contractor guarantees all material, supplies and work furnished on the job against defective construction or workmanship for a period of one year after completion of the project." An attorney can help you work on a more sophisticated warranty which includes exclusions for things like owner's misuse, vandalism, etc.
