Filing a stop notice and providing the check for $10 is the only way to require the public entity to send you notice regarding completion within 10 days of actual completion or the filing of a notice of completion. But you can reach out to your customer, the direct contractor, or the public entity themself to obtain this information. You can also have a service monitor title for the recording of a notice of completion or notice of cessation. Most title companies offer this.
