If I received a preliminary notice from a supplier but the subcontractor says he didn't use that supplier what do I do?

I received a preliminary notice from a supplier for one of our subcontractors. When the subcontractor was final paid I sent him an Unconditional Waiver of Lien to notarize and sign and also requested an Unconditional Waiver from the supplier I received a preliminary notice from. He sent back the Unconditional Waiver from his company but said he didn't use the supplier so no lien waiver. Now what? SI received the preliminary notice what do I do?

It would seem the first practical step would be to reach out to the supplier and see what documentation exists that evidences material provided to your project. You should always consult an attorney to help you evaluate and determine your legal rights and how best to protect yourself.
