How can I find the book and page number and tax map of my property? I need to a legal description of my property and I only know the address.

You should be able to find it by entering your name or your address in the tax assessor's website. That will then give you your property identification. I am located in Georgia and we have a statewide deed recording site. I took a quick look and it appears that in Illinois the online records are organized by county. You should be able to do a search here and find your vesting deed (when the property was conveyed to you) and pull your description off that deed.

By the way, another tip from experience. When I was doing a description of a legal nature, I was accused that I plagiarized part of the text. It was very hard to prove later that this is not true. So be sure to pre-check this text for plagiarism, so that then there were no questions. Here for example here fixgerald.com . I now check such important texts, which must be uniquely designed with respect for intellectual property. I hope that will be useful, as it was for me.
