I need to file a lien on a project we did in New Jersey.

New JerseyMechanics Lien

There are a few pending change orders on the project should we list the final contract amount including the change orders or without the change orders?

In New Jersey, you can include the change orders in your lien amount if they have been signed. If they are not signed, you may not be able to include them in your lien amount, but you can still include that work in your overall claim against the party you had a contract with. It is often the case that the amount of one's lien may be less than the total amount of their unpaid balance, and this is usually due to claims that involve change order work performed, but for which there are no signed change orders.
