i filed a mechanics lein and I still have not been payed how do i go about forclosing on my lein???
You have one year from the date of filing a lien to file a lawsuit to foreclose on it. The lawsuit must be filed in the county where the lien was filed and the property is located. The lawsuit must also include all other entities which may have an interest in the property. This could include mortgage holders, other lien claimants, the taxing authority, etc. It is somewhat complex. I recommend you contact an attorney in your location.
