How do I find out who a General Contractor's Bond is with so I can file a claim. I have already filed a Mechanics Lien .

I am a Sub Contractor working on a development and I have signed contracts but have never received a payment since last March. I have filed a lien for labor and materials but am afraid they will take bankruptcy so want to file a claim against the General's Bond.

You have 90 days from recording your lien to file suit to foreclose on the lien. You can make a bond claim when you file suit. If we are talking about a public works payment bond, you need to give notice to the surety, assuming you time to do so. You need to call a construction lawyer to protect your rights. Good luck.
