How can I get a lien removed from my property that's no longer valid?

I have a lien on a property that I purchased that's not valid. I purchased the property at an auction and the lien was supposed to get removed since it was junior to the HOA lien that I purchased the property from. I tried to contact them but they won't remove the lien. What should I do?

If you cannot reach the person/entity that filed the lien and secure a lien release from that person, you would then need to file suit against the lien holder. There are a few types of motions/suits you can file to remove the lien depending on the facts and the type of lien it is.
