Does any attorney ever actually pursue the case?

Tennessee

We have a pretty airtight case against a GC who did not pay their final draw or the retention after acknowledging payment issues on their end and a job well done on ours. We contacted an attorney and filed suit. But yet again, we are being told the contract isn't the issue, we just need to settle for $50,000 less then owed (not including late fees due by law and signed addendum to the contract). Every time a GC violates the contract in order to pull something over on a sub, it seems impossible to find a lawyer to actual litigate the case. Settle, settle, settle for significantly less is all you get. Well, that and a huge legal bill that they want paid in full for their work. The very point of Levelset is to help subs hold GC's accountable, how do we close the next loophole for them with out adequate representation?
