Do I lose my right to file a mechanics lien if the owner/general contractor in CA did not send me a notice of completion
We filed the lien and the general contractor responded by sending a copy of the notice of completion, which was dated significantly before the date of the filing of the lien. We had not received this notice of completion previously.

Assuming you served a preliminary notice in proper form and manner, you are entitled to be served with a notice of completion. If you were not, then the notice does NOT have the effect of reducing the time to record a lien from 90 days to 30 days
