Contractor License was revoked. I went through financial hardship and other circumstances. Can my license be recovered?

Florida

Long story but I lost my mother due to a drunk driver, went through a divorce, had back surgery, and more. Everything happened back to back... Would the board even hear me and or a lawyer?

The Board would listen but they would likely not grant the reinstatement. "Notwithstanding the provisions of the professional practice acts administered by the department, the department may, at its discretion, reinstate the license of an individual whose license has become void if the department determines that the individual failed to comply because of illness or economic hardship. The individual must apply to the department for reinstatement and pay an applicable fee in an amount determined by rule. The department shall require that such individual meet all continuing education requirements prescribed by law, pay appropriate licensing fees, and otherwise be eligible for renewal of licensure under this chapter." The conditions described above, while unfortunate, would likely not permit reinstatement. Please contact me to discuss the "or more" part so we can determine whether such would rise to the level to allow reinstatement.

If the license was revoked, you can apply for a new one after 4-5 years if you have met all the conditions of the court and the board. You must pass exams, file bail, pay debts, and show rehab. You may also need a hearing in court. If your license has been suspended, you can restore it by correcting the cause (such as tax evasion or a criminal record) and notifying the board. If the license is overdue for more than 5 years, you will need to reapply and pass the exams. You will also need to file bail, provide fingerprints, and prove financial worth. This is all very difficult and expensive, especially if you live in poverty and hardship. I myself faced a difficult situation when I was a student, looking for ways out, reading free essays at https://supremestudy.com/essay-examples/poverty/, and this information has helped me in my studies and in life. I sympathize with you and hope that you can solve your problems.
