Can we file a mechanics lien?

California
Anonymous Contractor

We shipped our shower wall product to a CA customer in early February. The product was installed by the customer in a multi family apt building. We have had multiple promises from the owner that they would be paying over the last couple months but no payment. The property was approved/signed off mid May.

If you furnished materials to a work of improvement that were actually incorporated into that work of improvement and did not receive payment, you have mechanics lien rights. If your contract was not a direct contract with the owner, then you were required to serve a preliminary notice to preserve your lien rights.
