Can they file a mechanic lien

ArizonaMechanics Lien

Quebedeaux did repair work on my car but I didn't sign any paperwork. I left the lot because they have screwed me over in so many ways before. I did not pay them. I have warranty coverage but did not pay the $100 deductible. Can they get me for mechanical lien

The type of lien you are referring to is called a "garageman's lien." The provisions for imposing a gragman's lien are found in A.R.S. section 33-1022. It is confusing that the statutes refer to mechanis liens in a context that don't relate to auto mechanics at all.

Generally, a garagman's lien allows an automechanic to place a lien against a car "when the amount of the charges is agreed to by the proprietor and owner." ARS 33-1022(A). The statute doesn't necessarily require the agreement to be in writing. The fact that they did work on your car and you did not pay them exposes you to liability. Whether they have a valid "lien" against your car is hard to determine without knowing more. Generally, the "lien" in this sense means they can hold onto your car until you pay them. If you have already obtianed possession of your car, you will need to speak with an attorney that does garageman's liens (and not mechanic's liens) to determine what, if any, liability you have.
