Can I still file a lien?

California
Anonymous General Contractor

I'm a subcontractor hired to do a residential job. We completed the work in January 2023. Now, the company that hired us nor the owner are responding to our calls for payment. What can we do? Is there something we can do?

If you filed a preliminary notice you can file the mechanics lien. Contact levelset directly via phone to file the lien. If you did not file a preliminary notice, and more than 20 days have passed, you can still sue the prime contractor.
