I quoted a front door and storm door replacement for a friend last December. Because of a relationship I did not have them signed a contractor give it deposit. However, I have clear documentation that I gave them pricing and they gave me the go ahead to order. Because of supply chain issues, the door got pushed back a few months and finally arrived the end of May. I stayed in close communication with them the whole time and they seemed understanding. However, when the door arrived and I called them to schedule, they said they ordered another door and paid for it the day before. Am I at least able to recoup my cost of the door and storm door through a mechanics lien?
