Can I counteract this?

FloridaConstruction Contract

I work as a housekeeper and the owner wants me to sign a hold harmless waiver. It has been revised saying I'm self employed but I'm not. If I don't sign it I have no job. This can't be legal but what can I do to fight it and fast?

Unfortunately, you have posted your employment related question on a site exclusively devoted to construction law issues. Try reposting on sites of more general legal interest or seek consultation with employee rights counsel The Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Ass'n is comprised of such attorneys.

I don’t think you want to work for these people. A hold harmless waiver means you defend them if there is a lawsuit. There are plenty of other jobs available who won’t make you do stuff like this.
