Am I too late to file notices or liens?

Texas

We are a small family operated Commercial electric subcontractor. We did a project for a contractor on a State University Health Center. The invoices were usually paid 2-4 months after they were sent. The Contractor has blamed the school's slow processing. Recently we did Change Orders verbally approved by the schools representative but the Main office had to process and formally approve Change Orders before we were able to submit our invoices on ProCore. Our last actual physical work on site was December but I have been attempting to invoice ever since. Now we are in May and were JUST able to invoice the University on ProCore. I'm very worried about getting our retainer and the payment for the last of our invoices. Another Sub told us they were never paid their retainers and no longer work for this contractor. What can we do?

Typically the deadline to file a lien In texas in the 15th day of the 4th month after the work was done or supplies delivered, However even without a lien they still owe you what is due thats where I can step in and make them take you seriously, I would love to speak to you further on this matter and try to help please give me a call at 972-872-8783
