I’m a contractor who recently worked on a car and was never paid can I file for a lein
ArkansasI'm a subcontractor who performs solar installs for Unlimited License Electrician Companies. I provided work to complete a service call that was not related to any of the installs my crew personally Installed, it was an additional service provided and they will not oblige to the charge of $750.00.
North CarolinaWe do equipment rentals. The job address we were provided is an address that the county says doesn't exist yet, but we didn't know that when the prelien was sent. We think this is a new development, so the address we were given might be a planned address for after it's developed.
Now we need to file a lien, and although that address doesn't exist, we found an address that does (and it looks like it would logically encompass this provided/planned/preliened address).
If we sent a prelien with that first address that doesn't yet exist but need to file the lien for the same job using a different (but real) property address, would the lien be valid?
Nevadawe have Purchase order for $15,000.00 but have done additional work & billed over contract amount and customer has not given a change order. Can we still file a lien on amount over contract amount?
OhioI live in Colorado. I hired an unlicensed contractor install flooring and baseboard/ trim in my basement 3 weeks ago. The flooring installation was complete. They were paid $2000. I found out the follow day jewelry was stolen by one of the workers, who eventually confessed. I stopped the project and fired them. A police report was filed. No baseboards installed. Now contractor is threatening to put a lien on my house because I owe him $1700. No written contract. Is this lien valid and how can I fight this?
ColoradoRecently I put a house under contract via assignment, the family took 2 months to vacate, though I paid them money to move out, finally they did, I paid painters and handymen, however now, the owner is deciding to advertise the house himself on zillow, saying he painted, etc. I had thought of filing a mechanics lien before I knew of this and now I discovered this over the weekend, seeing the house on Zillow. This is in Georgia, so no NOI, lien filing is needed. I checked last week, it costs $25, but my atty. says if the house goes into foreclosure, the lien will not hold up. Your advice? I spent $5,000BTW.
GeorgiaI am a trucking company that did some delivery routes for another trucking company in Iowa. My company supplied all vehicles / fuel / labor to do these routes. I am not being paid for several invoices and was curious if this is the correct lien?

He said he already pay the contractor, so it's not his problem.

We come to State Trooper's house on 02/14, he said he never sign owner name when he received the mail so we can't file lien, he said he aked the lawyer already.
