I'm fixing up a camper for a couple and they refuse to pay me and is about to sell it can I put a lien on the camper and for how long
OklahomaOn Friday I received a Notice of filing lein statement. I live in Arizona, but the lein is out of Oklahoma. It was on a property that i used to own. The statement was filied on Nov 1st. We sold the property on May 27th. I looked up the county public recoreds and it still has my wife and i as the owners still. Also there are other person we have no idea who it is. and a company we have no idea who thier are. We also have never done business with any of these companies of people. Even the compmany the filied the lein we have never worked with. My question is what is going on? How do i proceed?
OklahomaI passed the unlimited electrical journeyman exam in Oklahoma in 2008. Paid for a license and did not keep up my CEU"s and now my license is expired. But I kept up my ceus for my Kansas masters license. Can I make up the cause or transfer my ceus from Kansas. I did take 12 hours of ceus in Oklahoma but didn't end up getting sent back to work in Oklahoma and now I need to know what to do to reinstate my Oklahoma state License
OklahomaMy husband & I are buying a house & the person selling it to us has his homes remodeled for banking purposes. His contractor had us do certain work & buy certain materials & promised reimbursement & payment for labor. Once the seller did the final walkthrough the contractor said he wasn't paying us. We moved in & was helping with the remodel that ended up taking a couple of months, now the contractor is saying since we didn't have to pay a mortgage payment for 2 months, that is our payment. We have text messages, pictures & receipts for everything that we have done & bought. Do we go after the seller & the contractor?

A Lien was filed against a customer of mine form a contractor who failed to complete a job successfully. Since we do not want to go through a legal mess we are willing to pay the technician (even though the work was not complete nor done correctly. The technician has added "legal" fees along with fees for filing the lien.
Please assist.

In Texas, it was written in that I would be reimbursed once the property sold. A friend of here's got between us and convinced her to not do business with me and sell it to her. OklahomaI am a homeowner who employed a contractor to pour concrete for an addition to my home. He filed for the permit and made all of the arrangements for the concrete to be delivered and I paid him in full for labor and concrete. Fast forward almost a year later, I get a notice from the Oklahoma County Clerk's office advising me that there has been a lien placed on my home by the concrete company my contractor contracted to supply the concrete. I have had no prior dealings with this supplier at all. But because my contractor stiffed them on payment they are coming after me. I just read on your site that they are require to notify me prior to filing the lien request with the Oklahoma County Clerk's office and that did not happen. My home is my primary residence and that should meet the requirement for sending a notification. What do I do now to request that this lien be removed?

The first invoice is approaching 90 days, the 2nd invoice 60 days and the final payment 30 days.
We are prepared for the GC not to pay until the 11th hour or further.

OklahomaRoofing Contractor placed a lien against our property while waiting for the insurance check to arrive. An insurance check that was delayed because of the numerous times that the roofing contractor kept submitting more and more claims trying to squeeze everything they could out my insurance company. For four months the roofer went back an forth with the insurance company for more and more and more. Finally on August 9, 2021 a settlement was reached between the Insurance company and the roofing contractor. Then we had to wait for the check to arrive in the mail....10 days later, Saturday, August 19th, 2021. However, we left on vacation on Friday, August 18, and received our collected mail upon our return home, Sunday, August 22, 2021. Today, August 23, we received an email from our roofing contractor that they had placed a lien on our property. Meanwhile the check from the insurance company still has to go to our mortgage holder for endorsement and return to us to deposit and write a check directly to roofer. How is this even possible. There roofer delayed his own payment by his need for a bigger payoff. Initially, we were quoted a roof replacement cost of just over $12K cash, no insurance. The total payouts between the insurance company and my out-of-pocket deductible is a grand total of +$36K - 3 times the original offer. House built in 1957, footprint about 1500 Sq.Ft. which includes the two car garage. $36K can't be right for a home in one of the less expensive states in America to live in.
Was this lien that was filed premature? Was it a frivolous waste of the courts time? How will this effect my credit rating? Do I have recourse to contest their filing?

I finished the Job I had charged $13,816 total I received $10,506 already I sent final invoice to receive the rest of my payment this guy refuses to pay me I’m i able to file a mechanical lien I’m in the state of Oklahoma.
