My husband & I are buying a house & the person selling it to us has his homes remodeled for banking purposes. His contractor had us do certain work & buy certain materials & promised reimbursement & payment for labor. Once the seller did the final walkthrough the contractor said he wasn't paying us. We moved in & was helping with the remodel that ended up taking a couple of months, now the contractor is saying since we didn't have to pay a mortgage payment for 2 months, that is our payment. We have text messages, pictures & receipts for everything that we have done & bought. Do we go after the seller & the contractor?
