Read recent reviews submitted by contractors in Nevada about owners and contractors.
Horrible payments, way less than a 1 percent return on our investment over the entire time we have had a relationship with them. There have been zero communications with managing partners as they do not answer phones, nor do they return calls.
They are wonderful to work with and pay on a regular schedule and timely. Never a problem.
Are you thinking of working as a sub-contractor for Taylor International? Have you worked with the “Big Guys” in town before? In this writer’s humble opinion, a few are fantastic to work for, most are a painful and frustrating experience, then there’s Taylor. Working with Taylor is an experience of working for psychopaths. PSYCHOPATH – “A person having an egocentric and antisocial personality marked by a lack of remorse for one’s actions, an absence of empathy for others, tendency to lie often and recurring problems with the law.” They lie. Prior to contract, they told us that our payment terms were absolutely fine. They then go back on their word, insult and belittle you for daring to invoice for a deposit. They try everything they can to get you to do work for free. If you stand your ground, they will have childish outbursts and resolve to throwing their weight around with threats. They will threaten you that they will make it more expensive for you to not do the free work. As reported to this writer by a previous employee of theirs, they will hit you with absurdly high “charge-backs” which have sunk and ruined many small contractors before. Their job sites are an absolute clown show with finishes constantly being ruined by their incompetence in project management. One positive side to this is that all sub-contractors end up with a sense of comradery of which I have yet to witness at any other job site. In the end, we are simple people. We will do our job as agreed as long as you pay as agreed. Taylor refuses to do anything but try to screw their sub-contractors.
