i’m a contractor in Lawton oklahoma, i have done about 7 weeks of work in a residential address here in town, the owner (from germany) was unsatisfied with some of the work but never said anything till my job was completed. he has paid $8000 on a $10,500 for my
labor only meaning he still owes $2,500. he says he isn’t paying the remaining balance because he is unsatisfied with some of the work. but allowed me to compete my job duties before saying anything. I don’t have an llc or insurance, is there anything i can do to get my remaining balance of $2,500 from this guy

OklahomaI hired a contractor to remodel the Kitchen and Master Bath of my house to start May 1, 2021. The name of the company is Birch Co. Brett Davis located in Oklahoma. I was recommended to them thru my neighbor. I did not do my due diligence and completely trusted them that they would be remodeling my "dreamhome". Thru out the project I was living in the housing and having to oversee the project. Too many mistakes were being made and me having to call the Company daily if not weekly complaining. The last draw was when the flooring was being put down, I called them that morning to let them know not to do anything in the Guest bathroom, I even put a note on the Bathroom door and on the worksheet. I came home that night to the only working toilet in the house in my bathtub. Because I refused to pay them the last Invoice they put a lien on my House. Now I don't have a Master Bath not do I have a Kitchen. I have interviewed several other contractors and they all say that it will take at least another $100,000 to put my house back together.

OklahomaI'm staying in a house that I'm remodeling supposed to be in lieu of rent. Iv done about 13,000 worth of work to the home and property. An estimation using state averages. The owner of the property went and file for money from the government for pandemic funds so he received 7000. Which would be a years worth of rent. BTW iv been in the home 18 mo. The original verbal contract was I do work on the house for the rent he keeps the utilities on. He has not done that the electric has been in my name since September 2021 the water is off and the gas is fixin to be off. We have been dealing with black mold issues that he is denying was here before. There was a water leak under the house that went un noticed for a long time before we got here. Now the owner is claiming he hasn't received anything and we haven't done anything even though I have pictures from when we first came and now. Now he's trying to kick me out despite all the work and money he received

Homeowner would not allow me to finish work when original due date came up but she did not figure in the extra time that was spent on addons to the project and is now making an insurance claim saying that I did not finish work.she will not allow me to complete project. OklahomaMy husband has filed a mechanic's lien on a property both while the owner was alive and then updated it after his recent death. The Exector has now informed us he is going to let the property go into foreclosure. Will the mortgage company have to pay the mechanic's lien, and do we need to hire a lawyer to enforce the collection of the lien now that the house is going into foreclosure rather than getting sold.
OklahomaI have a realtor who hired me to do work on one of their own properties that they are flipping (selling). They are refusing to pay me. They already have a purchase agreement on the property with a buyer. I have asked for payment multiple times through text and they don’t think they owe me. I have sent multiple copies of the invoice as well as copies of their canceled checks showing that they have not paid me in full. I informed him that I would be filling a lien and he said best of luck, the property is already sold. I know for fact that it has not closed yet. I have a mechanics lien filled out. Can I add more to it for the time and costs? Also, if it hasn’t closed, will I get paid when it does?

OklahomaI filled a lien back in July for service not paid for work done in apartments remodeling. I filled back in July and still haven't been able to get with anyone at this company because the owner is hard to locate. I have emails where he agreed to pay the amount requested but now, I can't get a response from anyone.
