Why would any person choose to get licensed as a qualifying agent for a company as opposed to a sole proprietor? Is it that you have protection against yourself personally if you are a qualifying agent for an LLC if a claim comes at you? And that a company would only allow you do work for them if you were a qualifying agent for their company, meaning you could not get work elsewhere with your license? The Owner Provision—O.C.G.A. §43-41-17 allows for an owner to construct a building or structure on his own "property". Does "property" extend to a condo? City of Atlanta owners affidavit for being their own contractor states "said property is zoned and will be used as a single-family residential structure". 2 occurance with GC not paying us on time. Payment was due April 14th. Email Owner and GC to let them know that we are moving forward with lien if no response by May 19, 2002. Owner has terminated GC and is doing an audit of accounts.
