not yet 100% complete with project but I have not been paid for work completed and not yet paid. im about to file a mechanics lien but wondering if I should still work on project and finish??>
CaliforniaWe have project for channel earth works as a sub contractor,we finished the excavations,trimming and compaction for side slopes.
All the work has been done according to the drawings and accepted by consultant.
The inspections was for FDT and surveying works.
I found some acceptable differences according to specifications for the surveying works (tolerance) of bed preparation (5mm - 15mm)
The channel lining with concrete for 75mm.
The contraction engr. of main contractor didn't accept the works while the works was approved,Most of the repair were to correct faulty level by Subcontractor, yet back charges were applied on subcon. without prior notice.
CaliforniaI did a job and we had a contract/estimate, in the contract/estimate it stated that troubleshooting was not included along with any work not stated in the estimate. Upon completion of the stated work the homeowner stated that she needed the internet working in her house. This was during the height of the COVID-19 quarantine. We obliged her by figuring out why those plugs didnt have power and proceeded to fix the problem. now that everything is done she is refusing to pay for the work that was done. She is also threatening to call various state and local boards to complain that i am a "crook" i need to know what legal right i have to get paid for the work i did. I didn't get anything in writing that says that she was requesting this work to be done however i do have workers that heard her say these things.

TexasWe are paint contractors. We continue to experience a problem with finished staircases being damaged by home owners and / or other contractors walking up and down staircases before the products applied have dried. Posting signs and creating barriers to prevent the use of stairs has not solved the problem.
We are looking for cotract that states there will be extra charges/ back charges for this type damage.
AlabamaWe are Cool Painting Inc a sub contractor project who performs painting. We were awarded a project with BART (Bay Area Rail Transit) in April 2017 during that time. We need somewhat the scope of the project. The project kicked off on February 2019. During this time, Clark Constructions only had us do projects outside the scope. During this time, we did not request a change order and when we billed for the work, i request for payment was ignored. They scheduled a meeting with me for next week July 30, 2020 after I filed a Stop Payment. However, before any payments can be awarded, they had me 'release the lien." which I did thinking that they will be paying for 2020, to my suprise - i sitll have NOT gotten paid for 2019 or 2020. However, I still have a meeting,
Further, there are so many questions about the 2017 contract even our pay scheduel changed; since we are unionized.

TexasSmall architectural firm in NC dealing with unpaid invoices totaling for $47,800.00. Invoices date back to last summer. Client is sheltering in SC and not returning phone calls. The client has sent multiple emails with promises and "plans" but no money.
The delay was "I need this for the bank to approve financing" and we complied. Now that Covid has hit, the project is dead.
We are exploring options to collect this debt.
North CarolinaAbout 8 months ago was hired to fix a log skidded in the middle of a cornfeild 35 miles from my house it's a big 17,000 pound machine so labor at the dealer is around $150 a hr so he wanted it fixed cheaper took me about 200 hrs on and off over 4 months to get it to move out of cornfeild got it back closer to homethan I bought a $550 part and it still isn't all the way together and I work cutting logs as well so I told him would buy it for scrap price because he wanted to sell it for scrap now he is mad at my wife that brought a car from him and it is almost paid for and said for me to bring his skidded back and car and if I did would never get paid in a similar situation about 3 years ago he had police call me and told me to give his property back so what do I do?

WisconsinI live in Colorado and their is another person on the title with me. I need to get him off of the title. At this point he owes me $16800 in house payments and also destroyed the place before he left! I can't do anything to repair or replace the place with him on the title how do i go about getting him off the title when i can not find him!
