What are our options if we did not file notice to owner of lien. The company that subcontracted us went bankrupt.
MissouriI am a general contractor that did some work for a tenant in a retail space and haven't gotten paid. The tenants have now filed Chapter 11. Can I file a lien against the landlord of the property?
MissouriWhat is Missouri’s law regarding excessive or spurious liens, including consequences for recording such a lien? Please provide the statute and any other relevant authority.
MissouriConstruction was done on a commercial property, company that we sub trough is filling bankruptcy and complete construction went un paid till date. A second company purchase all assets from GC we contract and they tried to buy all pending PO pennies on the dollar we counter but was decline as they are negotiating. At this point we would like to lien the property for work that was done as we have time and money invested but I'm getting a notice in level set that need to file a (Notice of intent to lien) but level set cant do it, any info how to move forward will be highly appreciate it.

MissouriMyself and my customer has a verbal agreement and in text messages that if I were to help the customer in dealing with the insurance adjuster as well as the other companies that were needed to get her insurance claim moving and get her house fixed basically be the mediator for her then I would get all the work that the insurance was going to cover . Well I did m job and got her claim settled and at 5000 above what they originally offered her but now she says she's going to sell the house and the buyer is going to fix it all , and she is refusing to pay me for my time and out of pocket expenses that she owes since she is no longer going to hire me as the contractor to do the work
MissouriI am senior citizen with low income. I live in Missouri and I was approved for a grant thru USDA Rural Development to have new siding put on my house. Supposedly the contractor USDA chose did not estimate everything that I wanted covered with siding so I asked the contractor how much extra it would cost. He said $350 so I told him to do it and I paid him $350. Now he claims I still owe him money even though USDA paid him for the job and I paid him for the additional work. He has threatened to put a mechanics lien against me. He first said I owe him approximately $500 more and then second he said I owe him approximately $700 and he wants me to pay him by March 15, 2023. I don't think I owe him any money. I don't have any contract for the additional work other than a text message from him and me to him confirming the amount of $350. He did not give me a lien waiver. If he does file a mechanics lien against me what steps should I take to fight against this lien? Thank you! Vicki M.
MissouriHi I really hope that you can send me something that I can use. I’m at lost for words here. I have ended up losing pretty much everything since December 21 is the day that I sent out the invoices to be paid. It has been almost 3 months I have received Not even half of what I am owed. They have agreed to pay me through emails they have told me my work is complete and that the money should hit my account in the following day. They had told me that they’re working on it. They have told me so many different stories. Yes I am a subcontractor. They didn’t know that whenever I started cleaning for them , I’m a 1099 and a literally I quit another job just to go work here. I know that has nothing to do with an unpaid past due payment but I’m just saying it has had a huge huge huge impact on my life as well as my relationship and my family as a whole don’t really know what else to do besides get another job, but at the same time I cannot let them get away with this. How can they get away with this? I spent hours and hours and hours and hours doing this work, and all I have her invoices verbal agreements, and dates that payments were supposed to be issued. I really really really need some answers. Please help me. Thank you so much I’m a , cleaner, empty, cleans, and Make Ready’s is what this particular invoices for like I said, I started December 21 I wrote letters of requests of road warnings I have sent out invoices through my system through their system, new name, and I have been very consistent with everything that I have done
MissouriI started doing some work for an investment company he paid a little over $4,000 but the work I've put in it was about $8,000 he keeps telling about how many lawyers he's got and saying he's going to own everything I've worked for and will and I've had an employee destroy some of the work he performed for me and had to redue it I've been waiting for over 3 weeks

MissouriWorked under contract for 5 yrs. on project. I resigned and did 30 days. I was not paid final 2 invoices (about $30k). I read the statute to say that i'm a direct relationship and in Missouri do not need to give 10 day notice. Is that correct. My last day working was June 15, 2022 - almost 6 months. Is this the timeframe that i need to file the lien before next week? Can Levelset help? Then if they don't pay, i have another 6 months to foreclose? Just want to confirm my understanding. Mainly timeframe and not having to give the notice... because after 10 days, then i'd be past the 6 month point.
