All documents must comply with the Putnam County Clerk’s recording requirements. They are as follows:

1. Original Document
Documents are to HAVE original signatures cannot be a photo copy of an
original or it shall be a certified copy from another county.
2. Prepared by statement for Documents notarized in the state of Florida:
Name and Address of who prepared the document.
3. Mailing Address of Grantee on all Conveyances
4. Witnesses on Conveyances:
Two subscribing witnesses per signature per notary
5. Notarized
Completed Notary Acknowledgement with notary signature and seal.

The margin and page size requirements to file a lien in Putnam are: All documents must comply with the 8 1/2″ x 11″ standard page size and must be no larger than 8 1/2″ x 14″. The top margin of the first page should be 3 inches with all other margins as 1 inch. Not meeting these margin and page size requirements may result in additional fees.

The Putnam County Clerk’s Office accepts checks or money orders. Make checks or money orders payable to Clerk of Courts.
