Freedom of Contract


A legal concept that allows parties to negotiate and agree to their own contract terms without interference from the government.

Although parties have the freedom to contract, there are certain limitations on this freedom such as contracts for illegal activities, minimum wage laws, price fixing agreements, public contracts, etc.
