I'm a specialty contractor who runs a franchise that install wet area remodels. The customer claims that the shower door which was installed correctly is getting his floor wet. When running his shower we could not make the door leak. Assuming things are different with a person in the shower I will attempt to enhance the threshold.
If the customer keeps making a 'i have an issue claim" can they just not pay. My company is small and new, we need him to pay us what we agreed upon. When I asked what more can I do he said "make it not leak onto my floor"
GeorgiaMy company is in the construction industry. We are often asked to sign unconditional waivers saying we received a check, when we actually do not have it in our possession, for them to release the check. We offer to sign a conditional waiver to allow them to release the check and will be happy to sign the unconditional waiver once payment has been received. Is a scanned copy of the unconditional waiver enforceable or are we protected until they have the original? I don't see how they can force us to sign a document saying we have payments we don't have. And does this vary by state? We do business all over the US.

This is the address where the payment was to come from. I guess its too late to start over. Can we take the person to small claims court? What are my options going forward? GeorgiaContractor built a house on my land. They subtracted money from the house cost that was never added. This figure is what the lender used to close our loan. Contractor is short $9554. I refused to pay for their mistake and I don't want to give them the C of O draw. There's fraud and many mistakes with the loan and builders. The mechanics lien should have been filed by mid September, but was done on November 30th. House was finished by June 8th.

GeorgiaWe have a project in Augusta, GA.
We are days away from completing our scope of work.
We have around $30k in extras billed to the GC based on hourly work.
Our subcontract specifies that any extra work is to be tracked daily and submitted to the Project Superintendent for verification of work.
His signature is required on these daily sheets.
Payment then must be approved by the PM.
The Super refuses to sign any sheets.
Without them, the PM has no duty to pay us for the work performed according to the wording in the subcontract.
What are my options at this time?
GeorgiaI am a subcontractor that has signed a contract with a GC. We were getting information regarding equipment for the job and the supplier wanted a joint check agreement. GC would not sign their agreement but wanted them to sign the GCs. Their Comptroller stated that the working in the joint check agreement from the supplier was that if the subcontractor did not sign the joint check they would have to pay the supplier twice. The statement she was was that "ARSIMS May misappropriate the funds". We have never worked for this GC nor have we ever had a problem paying our suppliers. The GC no longer wants to work with us but we want to know what or if any recourse we may need to take to be proactive to make sure there are no future issues.

GeorgiaDry Pros did Water Remediation work for a property owner who owners a complex with rental townhomes. We did 4 different units. We need to file a lien due to none payment. Do I have to file separate liens for each unit or can I do 1 lien for all for units?
