Im the general contractor on a residential property that provided services to remodel. Client hasn't paid us and is avoiding payment.
ArizonaI am new to this business, and not sure about the difference between unconditional and conditional lien release and the language. If the customer is asking for a lien release indicating full amount has been paid, but I'm still waiting for the remaining balance, how can I word this? For example, of the $28,000 provided for the service, they've paid $14,000, but they want a lien release indicating they've paid the full amount.
ArizonaI'm a subcontractor and a manager but not owner of a local LLC. I signed a personal guarantee for one of our suppliers and the company I work for defaulted on payments. The supplier never filed liens against the jobs when they had the rights. I have no assets, am I able to get out of this personal guarantee?

Since we have a very good relationship with our GC, we usually do not have a lot of issues in getting paid. Although, since this is a big commercial project, we want to be protected the best we can be. We did not file a 20-day prelim notice before starting the job. Can I still file one? Or if we were to get into trouble with getting paid by our GC, can I still file a mechanic's lien even if I did not submit a prelim notice? What is your advise to be as best protected at this point in time and moving forward with this project since we will be on site for another 5 months.
ArizonaI have filed a lien on a job because the customer stopped responding to texts or phone calls there is a final walkthrough needed but she refuses to cooperate and keeps trying to add more and more things to the job that are not part of her contract. this job has gone on for TWO YEARS now. I did not know about the 20 day preliminary form so I never mailed one. Am I still able to get a lien on this vehicle? Also am I required to send out the 20 day form? ArizonaI am a property owner and hired a company to perform work. 1/2 the total cost was paid upfront and work was partially completed in December 2021. Company never came back to finish the job and quit responding to communication attempts. I received Arizona Preliminary Twenty Day Lien Notice in October 2022 (10 months later) and am looking for advice on how I should respond.

We just moved here this year and we were not aware that we have to give preliminary notice no more than 20 days after starting the project.
