We were hired as a plumbing contractor directly by the homeowner, but as a sub on the city permit under their Contractor. We don't have a signed contract or downpayment but started work and had a confrontation with the GC who now refuses to work with us and we didn't get to finish the job. We feel we are owned more than we are originally quoted for the work we did perform but the homeowner disagrees and is offering us a lot less. Can we file a lien on their property for work done to date?...Read More
