Crowe Construction needs help in applying and receiving funding from or through the SBA I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly . I need to know the sure fire way to get the help we need . COVID -19 has been detrimental and really put us down . I know with the help of a loan or grant that we could get our company off ground level again . I have applied for the eidl loan ,however I am not sure I did it correctly due to the lack of response from SBA. And I did get the targeted eidl advance which helped tremendously . But not near enough to put us over that edge and kick start us on our way down the path without worries of any little hiccup ruining us again . Any help would be greatly appreciated. ...Read More

We purchase new vinyl siding and windows from a supplier whom also done their own installation as part of the purchase agreement, which also stated, "Limited lifetime warranty on materials" and "2 year Labor Warranty". As soon as the outside air temperature started changing from summer to winter we began to see places all over where the siding has started warping, buckling, and have other deformities leaving gaps where the panels overlap. I called the company and reported the situation, which they agreed to have someone look at it. On the day we scheduled an inspection they sent the same person whom installed the siding whom never notified us he was there to inspect, he simply walked around the house once and left. After a few days I called the store again when I was told they looked and cannot find any issues caused by the installation. After several weeks the company owner agreed to come inspect himself and has never shown up. Other local contractors have looked and each had said the same that the siding installed incorrectly by not allowing room for expansion and contraction. The manufacturer also give this same response. What must I do to get this problem fixed as it's allowing water to get behind the siding that's potentially could causing more serious damage as a result? ...Read More

i’m a drywall contractor and im 80% done with the project i just got fired from. homeowner all of a sudden comes in and accuses me of trying to cash a false check under his name (which i most certainly didn’t) and yells at me to pack up all my stuff and leave his property and that i’m done. i ask why and he says bank called him to inform him that my wife tried to cash a false check coming from him but my wife has no clue what he is talking about. makes me get all my tools, scaffolding, ladders, planks, etc. out of his house and tells me that i’m done. i told him it wasn’t true what he accused us of but it doesn’t change anything. ...Read More

I am a homeowner in Phoenix that recently had a new pool installed and completed in March of 2021. It is still under warranty. Although we went through reviews of the pool company that did the install prior to signing the contract (which were all very good), it now appears that most of the reviews over the last year are horrible, specifically around issues with the construction and never-ending challenges with getting the pool company to inspect and repair. I just called and emailed the pool company but have yet to speak with anyone from the pool company. Since this is a new pool and so many people have had issues getting a resolution for the issues they're facing, should we be working with a construction attorney sooner than later?...Read More

I received a notice of intent to file a mechanics lien against my property 10 months after work was completed. I believe my old property manager paid the bill and am actively trying to clear it up but it’s been hard to reach them. In the meantime, is this contractor’s threat to file a mechanics lien even valid? The work was completed in Dec 2020. The notice of intent to file a lien was only sent 11/23/2021...Read More

Hi I'm a homeowner of a single family house. My roof was damaged by a hailstorm on May 27th of 2019, and since then the insurance has been constantly declining to pay for the roof replacement even if I hired a couple of public adjusters to fight for my case. Now the case has gone to umpire process, but the insurance company has been pretty tough and won't budge, so both my public adjuster and appraiser bailed out again. So I was wondering if an attorney specializing in homeowner insurance claims could help me out....Read More

I signed a contract for an addition to be built on my house. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I no longer need the addition. The contractor was given an initial payment of 22, 400 at the signing of the contract. He has drawn up the plans and had them reviewed by an engineer to submit to the county. no materials have been bought nor has any work been done yet. I have offered the contractor to pay for his plans, time, and whatever time or money he laid out which cannot be more than a few thousand dollars. I have sent him an email spelling out my situation and have asked him to provide other work on the house for the initial 22k . I see no clauses in the contract regarding cancellation of the project and am not asking for a refund. I just dont need an addition anymore and am willing to allow the contractor to provide various other projects on my house so he will not have to provide a refund. The initial draw was provided ( 22, 400 dollars) with successive draws due at specific timeframes as work occurs...Read More
