ArizonaWe received a workorder from an insurance company to provide a leak detection for our insured Luci Cardona. After the detection they approved us to do the repair work-the cost of the repair work was $7,400. After contacting the insurance company they notified us they paid the insured directly. Upon reaching out to the insured- i found the insured was actually deceased and the nephew opened a claim underneath the insureds name/policy ( the insurance company was aware). The nephew was paid directly for this repair and still has yet to pay us. What can i do from here to secure our funds? Can i place a lien on this property?

ArizonaIn Arizona, can a licensed, bonded & insured roofing company place in their contract, an interest charge on the balance due, before the roofing project starts. Down payment was made, 5 months later roofing project started. Company was backlogged due to high volume of jobs.

Can I still file a lien even though I did not file a pre-lien?

Not only not paying us, but the home is on the verge of foreclosure, the customer has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy as well. I will be filing the complete lien here shortly. She used the Bankruptcy to sort of us tell us to not file the lien (which is all the more reason I am going too), what effect does the bankruptcy have on our lien?
