We received a workorder from an insurance company to provide a leak detection for our insured Luci Cardona. After the detection they approved us to do the repair work-the cost of the repair work was $7,400. After contacting the insurance company they notified us they paid the insured directly. Upon reaching out to the insured- i found the insured was actually deceased and the nephew opened a claim underneath the insureds name/policy ( the insurance company was aware). The nephew was paid directly for this repair and still has yet to pay us. What can i do from here to secure our funds? Can i place a lien on this property?
