Colorado is one of relatively few states that has a Notice of Intent to Lien requirement that must be fulfilled before pursuing a mechanics lien claim. As you mentioned above, a Colorado Notice of Intent to Lien must be sent at least 10 days prior to a mechanics lien filing in the state. Failure to send the required Notice of Intent at least 10 days prior to filing a lien claim will likely render that lien claim invalid and unenforceable.
