Once a the debt underlying the Colorado mechanics lien has been satisfied, the claimant should file a lien release in County Clerk and Recorder's Office where the claim was filed.
If the debt has been satisfied, and the owner of other interested party sends a written request to release the claim, you must release the claim within 10 days of receipt of that request. Failure to do so can result in penalties at a rate of $10 per day until the claim has been released.
