I have a customer who has been paid for my services by her insurance company and she is refusing to pay me. Can you file a mechanics lien for me in Anne Arundel County Maryland?
MarylandLast date of labor provided at site was 6/12/2020. An amount of $12,067 is still pending to be paid out of a total of $26,057. Sent a 'Notice of Intent to File a Lien' on 10/8/2020 through Levelset. No agreeable conclusion was reached with the Client. Want to file the Lien now. Levelset says it needs to be done through a Lawyer in MD. Deadline is 12/9/2020. Will you file the Lien for us?

The job is now complete and the contracor tells me that the insurance claim did not go through and he can not pay me the balance owed. What can I do? Can I file a mechanics lien?

The PO specified payment terms of net 25. They are currently over 90 days past the 25 and have not yet paid us. MarylandI have this licensed contractor who did work on my basement. We had asked him to take our credit card for payment. He said he wanted cash or check so he can avoid the fees. We said no you need to take our credit card in which he never said he didn’t take them. Now he’s threatened to put a mechanis lien on our house. This is so crazy we’re not denying him payment!! MarylandThe contractor’s proposal listed a fixed price for labor and an allowance for materials. We were told if they do not use all the allowance then it goes towards the total of the invoices. However, we’re being billed for the full allowance amount plus overages, that weren’t approved prior, without the contractor providing receipts.
Maryland I was a subcontractor on a residential Heat Pump Installation where I installed 2 Heat Pumps in an attick. The GC said that he did not put enough funds in the insurance claim and said that he could not pay me the balance of 10k for 2 years.
I called the insurance company and they confirmed that the money was there but the GC has just not submitted the completion form.
I think he is trying to get out of paying me. Can I file a Mechanics lien so that the homeowner puts pressure on him to pay me?

Is that from date of 1st invoice or date of last invoice to the project? Or is that from date of product arrival to site?

MarylandWe are a mechanical contracting vendor. Sub to a sub-contractor. It’s common to sign lien releases before getting paid.

I am with Bigrentz we are an equipment supplier than normally uses Levelset to file our liens however that service is not available in Maryland. We have a lien that needs to be filed by 9/18. Please let me know if that is something you can assist with and what the fees would be thank you
