What should we do when a GC is not paying an application from a year ago.

North CarolinaChange OrdersCollections

We are trying to collect a payment from a GC - we have tried contacting the PM but his emails are being deleted and returned unread. What would be the next step?

You should place the account for collections with a certified commercial collection agency member of CCAofA who is licensed and bonded in North Carolina. They could collect the acccount on a contingency bases so you are not paying anything upfront or throwing good money after a bad account. Feel free to contact srauch@rauchmilliken.com for a referral and free quote. Best regards, Steve
