Lien Rights on School Projects in Indiana

IndianaMechanics LienPayment BondRight to Lien

I am trying to determine what type of school projects our customer is doing. We would be the supplier. Do we have lien rights in Indiana?

Whether or not mechanics lien rights will be available on a school project will typically come down to the type of school. If it's a public school and on publicly owned land, then mechanics lien rights wouldn't be available - public land isn't subject to lien. If that's the case a payment bond claim would likely be more appropriate. But, if the school is a private school and located on privately owned land, then mechanics lien rights should be on the table. And, if it's a charter school, the answer will ultimately come down to who owns the underlying land, in all likelihood. If things are still unclear, it might be worth discussing the matter with your customer or others on the job. They may have some insight into whether a lien claim could be filed or whether the project is bonded. Thanks for the information. For me, as for architecture student, this site is very useful because I find out so much useful info about the project, the financial side of all that, and so on. And in general, I'm glad to be a student in the 21st century because there are so many different useful sources that I can easily use when I have some writing difficulties. There are a lot of sources that uni provides us, and also different ones online. For example, last week, I was writing one paper with a detailed analysis of Romeo and Juliet, and from this source, thanks to the Romeo and Juliet essay examples provided there, I managed to get all the writing ideas and some inspiration for writing. And it was the source that helped me out because, of course, I read other info I found in the library, but still, with examples, everything was much easier. So I recommend everyone not to give up and try to find useful resources.
