Hello, I wrote to you the other day and got a some help from you, I do have additional questions. 1. Can you assist in filling a Lien for Kansas and Texas State? 2. Do we need additional need a lawyer for this? Our first pending invoices are March 15, 2019 and the latest with material supplied is from July 3, 2019.

Regarding the second question - in the vast majority of states (including both Kansas and Texas), a claimant isn't required to utilize a lawyer to get their mechanics lien filed. Mechanics liens, in nearly every state, are mere filings in the property record and don't automatically create a lawsuit. So, as long as a lien claimant follows the necessary requirements, they're able to file a lien on their own. And, claimants can also use other non-lawyer third-party services to help with the process - including Levelset. Of course, if a filed mechanics lien ultimately needed to be enforced, a lawyer would likely be necessary for that - though most lien claims don't come to that.
