Hello, I have a construction contract that does not address change orders. I want to delete the concrete install from the contract which has a line item for the value. I would like to hire a different contractor to do the concrete slab work. The current contractor does poor quality work and I am concerned about the slab being installed correctly. Which process would address this change to the contract? Deductive Change Order or Termination for Convenience? I also have asked for a release of lien for the second payment, however the contractor has not responded. Texas property code 53-152 states he has 10 days to respond. If he does not what are my options?
