Hi, I have an issue with a customer, I renovated a pool and installed all new equipment. I provided an estimate to the customer in March and received a 30% deposit. Over the course of the renovation the customer requirements changed and I sent him a new estimate in August. I was supposed to collect 30% when the equipment was installed and the final payment when water was delivered. The equipment was installed the say day the water was delivered and I did not collect any money. Now the home owner states he isn't happy with the job and has not payed me. I have offered him a warranty on the work and asked him what he wants and he has still not made any effort to pay me. Can I put a lien on his property even though I don't have a signed contract? The work was done in NH.
