In addition to the need for a Virginia driver's license, you must file the lien within 90 days of the last day on whihc work was performed on the project. Except for retainage, your lien cannot include any amounts for work performed more than 150 days prior to that, and I strongly recommend that you perform a title search as part of the lien filing.
