Depending on how much time has gone by you may still be able to file a lawsuit for breach of contract, or if no written or verbal contract exists then an unjust
enrichment claim. I would need additional information about the claim, so if you want to pursue a lawsuit please contact our firm at 888-989-1777 to
schedule an initial meeting.

If your last work was less than a month ago and was not solely for punch-list work, then you would be able to start with a Notice of Intent to File Lien
Statement, then follow-up with recording a lien if you remain unpaid 10 days after you send the Notice. This assumes the project is in the private sector and
not for a public entity, which has a slightly different procedure for making a claim.

information in order to give you a better answer though. You can reach me at our office at 888-989-1777 if you would like to discuss further.

It could include language that the GC indemnify the homwoener in the event of a subcontractor claim, but that would not stop subcontractors from being
able to send a notice of intent or record a lien. While a lot of the lien waivers/releases are similar in nature, there is not a set standard on what language is
contained in the document. If you are looking for an attorney to review the lien waiver/release, our firm can be reached at 888-989-1777.

You have a claim for any consequential damages--costs you incurred--due to their work. This includes the cost of the new subcontractor, what you paid your
labor, and may include delay costs depending on the contracts on the project. Give me a call at our firm 888-989-1777 if you would like to discuss options
further or to send a demand to the subcontractor.
