I always need to submit a bid and have it approved by either the PM or the owner. Once the bid is approved I am to start work. Sometimes I do get a 20% down payment if the project is large, which will cover initial supplies and I'll receive the final payment once my portion of the project is complete. Once the project is complete it will take roughly 4 to 6 weeks to obtain payments which allow the PM to inspect the job site for defects and touch-ups. I always provide lien releases ahead of time and Mr. Kevin and I work on the honor system. If I do my portion Details will do theirs.
I've been happy with both payment policy and speed of payment. As a residential contractor, Details has always paid more quickly then track builders and commercial contractors. My crew always show up on time, complete work according to scope, and clean the job site.
