If we have a sub who has a supplier that he hasn't paid, and the sub comes to us and says he sent a 20-day notice, are we on the hook if they can't prove that we received it?
ArizonaWe are a supplier for HVAC equip. We sold equip to a subcontractor. The GC is asking for a lien waiver from DMG, company we bought equipment and testing/commissioning from? DMG filed a prelim on this job.

California[Liz at Levelset posting on behalf of user] We just got a job that has 24 different addresses. It is an apartment complex type deal. We want to see if there is a way we can secure all of that under one notice rather than sending a preliminary notice to each address. It's all for one apartment complex, but has multiple buildings & different addresses per building. I have a Material Purchase Certificate that has the address for the entire permit location on it. I'm not sure if that address would cover all of it. Last time we did this we had our attorney do it for us. Do we need to send a separate notice for each address?

New Yorkthe sub was advanced the funds and the lender has not been paid, a lien needs to be filed however it seems the deadline for document to be sent has past, can the documents still be sent and lien be filed??

My concrete supplier/installer is trying to charge me 8yards extra over the amount that actually went into the foundations , and he won’t come over to the site and measure up what actually went in ! Now he has sent me a preliminary notice, but we never had a contract written up neither so has he got a leg to stand on ?

MassachusettsI am a subcontractor working for the general contractor.He hired my company to install an alarm system at his place of business and home. Both locations have already been built. So my question is to file an NTO does it need to be a Construction site?
FloridaThe "constructor"- a dumpster rental company that my former tenant used to remove all her personal stuff (old tires, refrigerators, mattresses, etc) when she moved out, filed a mechanics lien on my residential property. The balance due was $180, but on the mechanics lien, it requested for $4200, including "legal process fee" of $1500 for each transition?? I already made my former tenant paid her back the owed $180, does the constructor have the legal rights to ask for more money on the lien? My property is in San Mateo county, CA.

I am owed approximately $3000 in owed labor for time organizing GCs, laborers, deliveries, etc throughout the summer. I'd like to file a lien before this company goes under, but am unsure of the process or my rights as a contacted project manager.
