I worked on cellphone towers for 27 days straight in west Virginia with a company in Atlanta. I got zero pay and have NO certificates allowing me to be on top of a 300 ft. Tower. Now they refuse to pay me saying they paid the Forman and he was suppose to pay me.
GeorgiaMy company is from out of state, and has been working on a half million dollar renovation project in GA for the past year. During COVID, we were forced to slow production, due to government restrictions. Once they were lifted, work resumed as usual. During our tenure there, the owner has added many change orders, which have been completed. They were billed for those change orders on June 13, 2020. We met with the owner and their bank, regarding the additional charges, funds were approved. Now they're refusing to pay and have hired a new company, that's already on site and working.
GeorgiaWe are a subcontractor to Katerra, who recently declared bankruptcy and we are still owed money from a job that we completed in late April. Aside from securing our claim with a lien, what can we do to ensure we do not get burned?
GeorgiaDo I only need to mail a certified copy to the address of the contractor that files a erroneous lien on my house once I file the contest with the county? I have mailed demand to release and he won’t accept them.
GeorgiaA company filed a Materialsmans and Mechanics claim of lien on my house. I have paid him in full per the work authorization he was given and has has signed his invoices to me as paid in full. He has no details as to what this $18K is even for, and again, we have cancelled checks and invoices signed by him as paid in full. What do I do? I live in Georgia, Gwinnett County

GeorgiaI’m a renter on this property the owner was arrested on the property for shooting one of the tenants friends in the back as he tried to run away. Then the owners mother and father took over and asked me to collect rents and do the maintenance work at this property I remove Two 40 yard roll off dumpsters with nothing but house hold trash from the people that owned it before these people bought the property the owners mother was supposed to pay me for the removal of all the garbage these peopl looked like had been tossing out the back door for years in took me two weeks with a rag and snow shovel to get it done then I started removing the inside of the house the people that lived here their hole life out of the house I’ve paid out of my pocket for evictions I’ve paid out of pocket for fixing the plumbing replaced hot water heater toilets and they have not paid me anything for my labor or out of pocket expenses. I also have a ticket for another tenet burning his house hold trash which is 590 dollars she said she would pay now she said she paid for dumpsters and refused to pay this burn ticket can I file a lien on this property for my labor an out of pocket money
GeorgiaI am renting a shed on the property the owner made me manager of the property to collect money from tenants they rented two dumpsters and need more I have filled both 40yard dumpsters alone with piles of trash the tenants had put in back yard for several years now they want me to clean out the 2bedroom two bath home with all the contents that the renter left behind which tch is everything including clothes the only thing they took with them was the clothes they had on. The owner has not paid me for any of the work or the money I paid on the eviction at the courthouse

Subcontractors threatening mechanic lien on house in Georgia
I plan to stay in house for 5 more years. Should I wait mechanic lien out, or should I hire an attorney
GeorgiaI'm a contractor and on January 27th, about 10 days after a settlement was reached with the client in email, the client submitted a fraudulent charge on her credit that she used to pay our company and the charge was reversed and funds were removed from our account. We hoped to settle through the client's credit card company, American Express, since we had documentation of the settlement amount with the client, but as of last Friday were not successful in doing so and were not aware of 90 day rule on liens as this was the first time our company has had to file one. We do have detailed email and text documentation of our efforts, before photos and after photos from the real estate listing as the client is now trying to sell the house.
GeorgiaPerformed 3 months service work for company hq'd out of state. Work was performed in the state I live. Company did not pay anything, at all. Went to small claims court, paperwork and sheriffs in the county out of state or unable to serve due to no one being at the address and or addresses.
Where to go from here?
GeorgiaWe provided landscaping materials to Company A, where the customer made the purchase from. The invoice is between the Company A and the customer. Our name is not mentioned on the invoice or the website of the company A. Customer provided Company A with the credit card information without knowing we are the supplier. In this case, can we place a lien against the customer's property if the customer does not pay Company A?
GeorgiaI did some general handyman work for a lady. She also asked me to pick up some materials for her since I have a truck. I agreed to pick up materials for her. After dropping off the materials at her property, she paid me thru a emailed invoice. She also paid me for the services I gave her they a separate emailed invoice. About 2 weeks later this lady filed a chargeback on the two invoices. Which in return, left me not getting paid for my services and not getting paid back for the materials I was nice enough to pick up for her. I sent the ladies bank all paperwork and receipts along with text messages from her telling me thank you for picking up the materials and dropping them off for her. Those same text messages shows the lady talking about all the materials being installed. I also sent pictures of everything installed in the ladies house. Her bank ruled against me (I have no idea how). Is there anything I can do to get my money back?
GeorgiaHi, a roofing company i hired to replace my roof said they can replace my gutters at the same time. The roofing company applied to the insurance company to replace the gutters. The roofing company said that the insurance company refused the replacement of my gutters but approved paying for the roof, that was damaged in a storm. The roofing company replaced my roof.
A couple of months later I paid another contractor to fix the gutters, not replace them. The insurance company later paid me for that. Now the roofing company from earlier are claiming that I owe them money that the insurance company paid me, even though they did not fix or replace my gutters.
The roofing company has a mechanics lien on my house in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Can you help me fight this lien?
GeorgiaFiled a lien in Ga. against a Burger King Restaurant where their GC I’d not pay me. It’s almost 365 days into the lien so I need to file. My attorney states that the enforcement has to be in the county to where the GC or Corporate office is which is hours away so he can not file it but according to this site it should be filed in the same county as the property? Where is the final suit to be filled. He stated foster v Wilmington Plantation which is a condo lawsuit...are they different?
