Wrong address listed on Preliminary Notice? Did I lose my rights?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

My team submitted a request for Preliminary notice in CA< listing the General Contractor office location as also the project address. Now that I am going to submit a notice to lien, I realize this may have never arrived at the property owner, Do we lose our rights on this? Are we still protected?

Assuming we are talking about a 20-day preliminary notice (as opposed to a "request for Preliminary notice") , and the information provided in your 20-day prelim. was from a sufficiently reliable source and you attempted to serve it via certified mail return receipt, and you have in your possession the returned/unopened prelim. back from the Post Office, I believe you still have lien rights, but it is a close call. Good luck.
