who is responsible to be licensed me or the subcontractor

FloridaLicenses

I am a Florida business that works on electronics, and I want to hire out of state pcc contractors (Pollutant storage) in various states to do a large project, I am currently not licensed by Florida state as any type of contractor, Do I need to get a license to hire these subcontractors being they are out of state or can I do it under my business without acquiring any Florida state license?

Hiring an independent contractor, in and of itself, might not trigger Florida's licensing requirements. But, when a business starts to coordinate the work of others, that'd seemingly begin to start drifting into the territory of needing a license. With that being said, I'll be the first to admit I'm not an expert on Florida's licensing laws. So, to get clarity on whether a license would be needed here, it'd be wise to consult a Florida construction attorney or licensing expert (such as Licenses, Etc.). They'll be able to get a better idea of the work being done, and they should have much more experience in this sort of thing.
