We filed lien in NY with an extension, not thru level set, when do we need to start the foreclose process since there was an extension?

The lien is valid for 1 year. It can be renewed for an additional year before it expires. You can start a foreclosure action at any time before the lien expires.

you must foreclose before the end of the extension period.

You can start the foreclosure process at any time prior to the expiration of the 1 year lien extension.
