My contractors performed $17,500 (we have the invoices to support this) of work for a neighbor in exchange for him verbally agreeing to sign a lot line adjustment. The work was performed and paid for by myself. He has since changed his mind and it is unwilling to sign the agreement. Additionally, he has not paid for any of the work. His house is for sale. What is the proper lien to fill out against him or is this not a matter of lien law and rather having to sue him personally?
